The match started at a good pace, but in the seventh minute a nightmare error from the home defense allowed Teemu Puki to score his 26th goal for his country’s team, elegantly passing the ball close to Lukov – 0: 1 for the guests . In the tenth minute came the first accurate shot for Bulgaria. Janis Karabelov hit her head, but Hradetski caught it without much difficulty.
The Finns created a new speed attack in the 12th minute and Puki entered the penalty area. The guest star shot with his right foot, but Bozhikov blocked the passage of the ball and no new shots reached Lukov’s goal. After a quarter of an hour, their captain Sparv stole the ball from Spas Delev and found Poyanpalo. He fired a powerful shot from afar, but the ball didn’t find the outline of Bulgaria’s gate.
In the 23rd minute Dominik Yankov got rid of two guest defenders and fired a shot, but he did not do well and the game continued with a Finnish exit. Four minutes later, Bulgaria made their best attack in the match. The ball was spread down the right for Strahil Popov, who delivered a great cross for Galin Ivanov. He caught up with Kamara and shot his head, but the ball went out the door. In the out execution, the Bulgarians pressed solidly and stole the ball near the Finnish field. Spas Delev fired from mid-range with his right foot, but Hradetski saved.
In the 36th minute, our captain Bozhikov saved a cross from Finland’s left as the ball went dangerously to Puki, who would have doubled, but Bozhikov’s intervention prevented a second goal in the Bulgarian goal. Three minutes later came a powerful shot from Yankov on the diagonal, but it was quite inaccurate. Shortly before the end of the first half, Kraev combined well with Yankov and shot with his right foot, but rather imprecisely: out.
The guests scored a second goal at the end of the first half. Strahil Popov made a great inaccuracy on the right and Puki fired hard, but Lukov took the lead. Unfortunately for the Bulgarian goalkeeper, the ball reached Robin Lod, who closely doubled the assets for the guests with his left foot – 0: 2.
The last action of the first half was a weak shot by Galin Ivanov from a foul, which in no way hindered Hradetski.
At the beginning of the second half, the spectators did not see many interesting situations, as it was impressive how Marco Canerva recovered his players, who did not press so skillfully. In the 57th minute Kraev made a cynical split at Lod’s feet and naturally saw a yellow card from the referee. In the 59th minute, Captain Sparv fouled Dominik Yankov in the guests’ penalty area and logically the referee pointed to the white spot for ours. Galin Ivanov shot from the penalty spot, but goalkeeper Hradecki killed the ball. There was a kick from Kraev’s diagonal in an empty arc, but the ball stopped outside the net.
In the 67th minute Arayuri played with his hand in the guests’ penalty area and we received a second penalty. Reserve Mitko Iliev bowed this time and managed to score, realizing in cold blood in the lower right corner of Hradecki – 1: 2.
Six minutes later, Alho invaded our penalty area and crossed sharply for Puki, but Lukov deftly predicted the course of the attack and kicked the ball forward to miss a third goal for the Finns. The next few minutes were certainly not exciting, although the Bulgarians wanted to attack. In 87 Mitko Iliev tried a shot from far away, but without much success.
Dermendzhiev ranks the Bulgarians in a 4-2-3-1 scheme. At the door is Martin Lukov, and the box in front of him was built by Strahil Popov, Kristian Dimitrov, Vasil Bozhikov and Dimitar Velkovski. The two defensive midfielders are Kristian Malinov and Yanis Karabelov, and Dominik Yankov, Spas Delev and Galin Ivanov will help put a stop to Bozhidar Kraev’s attacks.
Marku Kanerva leads Finland 4-4-2. Hradecki is at the door, and in front of him are Uronen, Arayuri, Toivio and Alho. Captain Sparve is in the middle of the field with Glenn Camara, and Robin Lod and Taylor will harass us from the wings. Stars Teemu Puki and Poyanpalo are under attack.
