Levski’s team will spend their winter training in Croatia, Dsport.bg has learned. The Blues will camp in the resort town of Umag. At this time, the training camp dates have not been announced, but the Georgi Asparuhov stadium team will most likely be out of Bulgaria for about two weeks.
Levski will play several control matches on Croatian soil. Many Croatian, Slovenian and Hungarian teams train in the region in question, spending their winter training in the same location or nearby.
The head coach of the “blues” Slavisa Stojanovic knows the place very well, having done training camps with his former teams in Umag. The specialist knows the land, hotels and conditions that Croatia offers. Good contacts can also help organize the proper inspections.
At the beginning of his winter training, Levski will train in Sofia, and before that, the players will undergo extensive medical examinations.
So far, the Gerena team has not conducted winter training in the Balkan country. Due to the situation with the coronavirus, the opportunity for the “blues” to train in Cyprus was eliminated. The situation in Turkey is also delicate in this regard, and one of the great advantages for Croatia is that it is close and is part of the EU.
