In the 23rd minute, the “blues” managed to take the lead. Ivaylo Naydenov found an excellent Martin Petkov in the area, who cut through the Podbeskidze net with side scissors. The youngster tried the same shot at Domžale, but then the ball hit the crossbar.
In the 32nd minute Mikulic had to intervene again. Mamic entered the penalty area and shot from the left, but the new point guard of the “blues” reflected perfectly.
In the second half, Slavisa Stojanovic made a lot of changes. Steven Petkov, Valeri Bozhinov, Nikolay Mihailov, test driver Ante Varlichak, Rebin Sulaka, Georgi Alexandrov, Iliya Yurukov, Simeon Slavchev appeared later in the game.
Newcomer Rebin Sulaka played well in the “blues” game and showed stability on defense. Croatian Varlicak showed good qualities, but obviously not so much to impress the coaching staff. From Stpojanovic’s statement after the match, it was clear that he would hardly stay with the team.
