Plamen Kamburov of ASK LV Auto Racing Team with Mitsubishi Lancer won the fourth round of the Closed Road Championship in Haskovo in the highest Maxi class.
He beat K2 Racing Club champion Konstantin Marshavelov. After the final, Kamburov said he was very happy and added that this time he had no technical problems with the car, which allowed him to win first place. Marshavelov congratulated the winner and admitted that in the second part of the race, when Kamburov became especially fast, he had problems with the brakes on his car. He decided to brake, but to finish and thus maintain his leadership position in the championship.
Iliya Vachev of AMK Haskovo was third, and Dragomir Dragov of Harmanli is second in RC4, where the champion is Deyan Deyanov (GREEN FOX Motors) with a Peugeot 106. For the first time in the history of the race, the drivers started in the series Lada. In the X2 class, the winner was Evgeni Semerdzhiev (AKS Stara Zagora, Lada 2105). In the X3 class, the fastest was Ivan Lishev (ASK “Dynamo”, VAZ 2101). In the “Sport” series, HC4 class, the fastest was Alexander Dimitrov – The Pitch (GREEN FOX Motors, Honda Civic). In the RC5 class, Radko Petrov (ASK Vromos, Citroen Saxo) was the fastest on the track. The first in the “Touring” series is Ivan Vlachkov (KA-2 Racing Team, Honda Civic).
There were many special awards for the pilots. The award ceremony was attended by Mayor Stanislav Dechev and Competition Director Ivan Bakardzhiev. 37 pilots arrived in Haskovo, the oldest of them Stoyan Apostolov from Burgas, 73 years old. The race passed without serious accidents.
