Jock Polfreiman leaves the refugee accommodation center in Busmantsi in the fall of 2019. Behind him is his lawyer Kalin Angelov.
However, his lawyer did not say whether he had returned to Australia.
Requested an assistant for far-left MEP Claire Deli
Australian Jock Polfreimann, who was released from prison more than a year and a half ago after serving 12 years for the murder of student Andrei Monov, left Bulgaria in early January, but not of his own free will. The Migration Directorate of the Interior Ministry told him that if he did not leave, they would take him to the refugee accommodation center in Busmantsi, his lawyer Kalin Angelov explained to 24 Chassa. So Polfreimann decided to leave. However, his lawyer declined to say whether he had returned to Australia or was in Europe.
According to unofficial information, after his departure, Jock Polfreimann requested an assistant to Irish MEP Claire Deli, who has a rather controversial reputation. However, his attorney did not confirm whether this was true.
Deli is part of the far left in the European Parliament, known for her radical views. According to British media reports, Claire Delhi appeared in Russian-sponsored media to defend Putin’s policies. She is also known for speaking out against Bulgaria. One of his last anti-Bulgarian appearances was in September last year before the LIBE Civil Liberties Commission.
Polfreimann was released early from prison in September 2019. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of student Andrei Monov, but was released from his cell on the 12th. The decision of the court panel chaired by Kalin Kalpakchiev sparked a wave of dissatisfaction. The then chief prosecutor, Sotir Tsatsarov, asked the Supreme Court of Cassation to reopen the case for his early release, but the supreme justices refused. Soon after, his ban on leaving the country was lifted.
