On 09.11.2020, the Property Registry at the Registry Agency works with a reduced staff. This is due to the large number of sick or quarantined employees. At the moment, less than half of Sofia’s employees are present at work. They are distributed in the 5 areas, serving the Property Registry – acceptance of documents at the counter, file processing, transaction processing, mail and information center.
The Registration Agency will have complete information on the exact reasons for the absence of the Land Registry employees within a few days, as not all have entered their sick leave to date. The agency recalls that the legal deadline to present a sick note to an employer is 3 days after it is issued.
In the current situation, the Registry Agency is trying to reorganize itself so that the work of the Property Registry does not cease, where most of the services require counter work. Despite the efforts, with the very small staff and the increasing number of transactions, today it was necessary to wait for customers, which generated tension.
According to statistics, with an average of 300 transactions registered per day, for the last business day – 06.11.20, 415. period of days have been made.
The Registry Agency informs that the situation in the country’s Registry Offices is similar. Almost every day it is necessary to quarantine the employees of the Registry Offices in small settlements. A dynamic reorganization process is underway and employees of the Regional Services in the largest cities are being assigned. The purpose of the Agency is not to suspend the work of the Registry Offices.
The Registry Agency warns that in the coming days, based on the reported trend, there may be a delay in the service in the Registry Office offices.
