“My love, my heart flew with you. You have always been the white swallow, the only bird that managed to jump, the man who gathers and unites the people around him, wherever he goes. My favorites were the mornings, the lunches and dinners with you. See you at home … “, Lyuba, partner of Dimo Stoyanov, the PIF vocalist, wrote on social networks. On December 21 he died in a hospital in Sofia after a coronavirus. Two weeks ago, the band’s musicians posted an internet call to donate plasma and a suitable donor was quickly found. Shortly after they announced that the singer was better, but the terrible news arrived on Monday.

“Friends, we share with great sorrow that we lost Dimo. He already has” All Heaven “and has taken some of us with him. Thank you to all who are willing to help in this battle, which turned out to be the last for Dimo. Words are not enough at those times. We need time to determine our direction. When we are ready, we will share what it is. Be careful. ” Thus, his fellow gang members announced the tragic news on their Facebook page. Dozens of musicians and celebrities flooded social media with sad posts. The service was yesterday in the capital church “St. Heptads.” At the same time, his fans gathered on the beach with candles, messages and threw flowers into the sea.

Dimo, 45, left behind two girls: Aya and Elizabeth, who is only one year and five months old. The singer met her mother Lyuba at a casting for a television series. He is trying out a role, she is a casting director. They do not approve, but love explodes between the two.

For his fans, the PIF leader left 5 albums, more than 800 songs for the theater, and in the last weeks, before he got sick, he worked with the other musicians on his sixth album “10 songs – 10 magical places”, which is almost finished. I hope it comes out posthumously!

Dimo Stoyanov formed the band in 1992 in his hometown of Varna together with guitarist Ivan Velkov. At first the band was called Resemblence and the songs they performed were in English. In 1999 they began to play in Sofia under the name PIF. In 2000 the debut album was released, which bears the name of the group. The songs “Fairy Tale”, “Wheel” and “Journey” also became hits. Two years later, the second tray of Pictures In Frames appeared on the music market. To record the songs, the band members retreat to a cabin between Rila and the Rhodopes.

In 2006 they released the album Passion In Fact, and in 2013 PIF4 appeared. They record PIF5. in 2015

Dimo Stoyanov returns to the theater after a 25-year hiatus, and recently performed the one-man show “Who Picks Up the Stars in the Morning”. He said that all the songs he wrote were his personal confession. So with the show, he presented audiences with different stages of his life with a dose of irony of his own. He toured the country and then the audience saw him at the Azaryan Theater.
