Huge queues to vote in England (Photos)

Even with the opening of polling stations in Great Britain, huge lines of Bulgarians wishing to vote formed in front of him. On average, there was a wait of between half and an hour for the ballot to be published at the beginning of Election Day.

For the first time, there are only 35 polling stations on the island, although applications have been collected to open 87. However, the Electoral Code imposes restrictions on non-EU countries, which is expected to create serious difficulties for our compatriots to exercise their right to vote.

According to the British Home Office, a quarter of a million Bulgarian citizens have applied to live in the country, and around 230,000 of them are over the age of 18 with the right to vote.

However, the people waiting in line said that they would not give up. Some had even come with their children, who were eager to return home for the traditional Easter chocolate bunny and egg hunt, which is taking place this holiday in the UK.
