The state continues to withhold information about the acts of review against Lukoil. This was announced by the co-president of “Democratic Bulgaria”, Hristo Ivanov, in a live broadcast from the newly built hotel “Hyatt” in the center of Sofia.
He said that the NRA was sentenced in two instances to provide information on the facts in question, but did not comply with court decisions. He then sent a letter to former Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov, who did not reply. He also wrote to Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. He promised that the minutes would be published, but this had not been done in two weeks. According to Ivanov, if these acts are made public, it will be clarified whether there is data on non-payment of taxes of around BGN 1 billion.
“Lest anyone be surprised, I want to say that the next time I have to ask these questions here, after the hotel opens, I will do so in Russian and English. So that future hotel guests, no doubt investors, no doubt European officials and politicians, can learn about this interesting context. And also to be able to meet the former colleagues of Valentin Vasilic“Ivanov said.
The Hyatt Hotel, which was built next to the Vasil Levski monument on the site of the former Serdika, has contacted Lukoil’s former boss, Valentin Zlatev.
Months ago, a recording of a conversation between Prime Minister Borissov and an interlocutor whom he called “Valentin Vasilic” was released anonymously to the media. Borissov said he heard that Vasilic was the “back” of BSP leader Cornelia Ninova and President Rumen Radev.
The prosecution is not investigating the content of this registry. A lawsuit was filed for illegally recording Borissov.
“A prime minister can hold a citizen responsible, much less an influential representative of a large Russian company, and much less the owner of a hotel chain like Vasilich, he can only ask questions in this way if there are means to pressure him, influence him. For example, if they have a common little secret, a common little secret for 1 billion BGN.“Ivanov said.
