On the anniversary of the tragic events in Mogilyan, the leader of Democratic Bulgaria Hristo Ivanov and his colleagues paid tribute to the victims of the so-called “Rebirth Process” of the Turkish fountain.
This is what he wrote on his Facebook page:
Today, on the anniversary of the tragic events in Mogilyan, my colleagues and I pay tribute to the victims of the so-called “reactivation process” of the Turkish fountain, a landmark of the brutal repression during the violent name change carried out by the Communist regime. One of the most horrible crimes of totalitarianism and SD Bulgarian democracy is impossible without the memory of totalitarian violence and without the will to condemn it.
The great ideal of a free European Bulgaria can only be achieved if we overcome the divisions maintained and exploited by the police and build a future in which the law is one for all, as Bulgaria is one for each of us. This cannot happen without the purification and decisive cessation of the influence of the State Security networks, which are the basis of the mafia’s control of the corruption of Bulgarian institutions. “
