They may ask the National Institute of Social Security to recalculate them next year
154,000 pensioners with pensions reduced by insurance in a private pension fund will be able to apply next year to the National Social Security Institute (NSSI) to recalculate their pension, as long as they transfer their money for a second pension to the state insurance, reports Pariteni.bg.
They pay their pensions and supplements before December 21.
However, this will be favorable only for a third of the people, for the rest the pension received will not be in a greater amount. For some pensioners, the transfer of money to the National Institute of Social Security will increase their pensions, but for others this will not happen.
Lyubomira Yazadjieva, director of the Pensions Directorate of the National Institute of Social Security, told Horizont:
“90% of these people receive disability pensions, that is, about 140,000 retirees. Of these, around 87,000 receive a minimum disability pension. This means that even if they transfer the funds from the universal pension fund and even if the amount is recalculated of the pension in the NSSI and without reducing the individual coefficient, the real amount will increase, but since it is below the minimum, they will continue to receive the minimum.
Final: the minimum pension becomes 300 BGN.
Borissov: Pensioners will also receive benefits next year
