The Prime Minister of the Netherlands declared the Turkish president’s decision to prosecute a Dutch politician unacceptable, TASS reported.

The lawsuit was filed today. Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s lawyer appeared at the prosecutor’s office.

This happened after a cartoon of the president was published on social platforms. The post was made by the leader of the Nirdeland Nationalists, Gerd Wilders.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has announced that he has announced Erdogan. The message is that freedom of expression has the highest value in the Netherlands.

According to him, it is unacceptable to go to court against someone for posting an image on the Internet. The diplomatic representatives confirmed their words to the Turkish representatives.

The Netherlands will do whatever it takes to protect its citizens. A dialogue on the subject is expected.
