Here’s how much money CSKA made from the Europa League and how much it will take if it enters the groups

CSKA has earned just over BGN 2 million from its European campaign so far. The Reds eliminated B36 Torshavn from the Faroe Islands after a 3-1 victory for the Army and made the playoffs to enter the Europa League groups. Stamen Belchev’s team will have a difficult visit to Basel on Thursday.

So far, CSKA has raised exactly € 1,080,000 from the tournament’s prize fund, just over BGN 2.1 million.

If the Reds win on Thursday and qualify for the groups, the amount won by UEFA this season will rise to 3.7 million euros.

Any win or draw in the Europa League groups will bring in additional income. The three points are estimated at 570,000 euros and the draw at 190,000.

The good performance of the ‘reds’ in the Europa League will increase the club’s coefficient for next season. This year the team had a 4,000 rating and placed only in the first qualifying round of the Europa League. After qualifying for the playoffs, CSKA’s odds are now 6,500. This means that by participating in European tournaments next season, the “reds” will be placed in at least the first two qualifying rounds.
