The director of the BMA, Dr. Ivan Madjarov, was the first doctor in Plovdiv to be vaccinated. This happened at St. George University Hospital.
“I want to set an example for colleagues and patients. Vaccines are a breakthrough in medicine that enables us to control serious diseases,” said Dr. Madjarov. After being vaccinated, he added that he did not feel anything.
Before vaccination, the doctor’s blood pressure was measured, which returned 160 out of 90. It turned out to be normal for the situation: vaccination in front of cameras and age.
The vaccination had to be done in the corridor of the medical institution, since there was no scope for the television cameras in the manipulation-enabled office.
The vaccination was attended by regional governor Dani Kanazireva and mayor Zdravko Dimitrov.
The director of the St. George University Hospital, Professor Karen Dzhambazov, commented that today he will be vaccinated along with about thirty other colleagues. In the coming days, another 160-170 doctors from the hospital will be immunized.
