This morning, it became clear that another doctor had died after being infected with a coronavirus. This was reported by the national operational headquarters.
She died in the emergency room of the Alexandrovska Hospital in Sofia.
This is Dr. Nelly Pandova, 61, Ilieva. They worked at the Emergency Medical Aid Center – Sofia (CSMP), they said.
According to data from the secretary of the National Operational Headquarters Association, Prof. Dimo Dimov, the doctor was found with coronavirus infection and was treated at St. Anna University Hospital, after which he showed two negative samples and was discharged. However, she subsequently felt ill again and was in serious condition at the time of her re-entry to the hospital and died at the time of her re-entry on Saturday night.
Dr. Pandova is a long-time emergency physician, a dedicated professional, and an exceptional person who took responsibility for the Hippocratic Oath and gave himself to patients and people in need, Monitor said, quoted there.

23 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, making them a total of 1,611, Associate Professor Dimo Dimov, secretary of national operational staff, said at this morning’s regular briefing.
Of these 23 newborns, 10 were hospitalized. Of the new cases, 6 are in Sofia, Vidin -8, Blagoevgrad, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, and Yambol has one infected. There are new cases of infected children in Vidin, they are between 10 and 11 years old. There are 9 active areas.
So far, a total of 48,618 studies or 6,945 have been carried out per 1 million inhabitants.

Testing in Bulgaria is carried out using the “Strategic Testing” method, by patient groups, staff and vulnerable groups. The campaign for recruitment and testing in all nursing homes and homes for children with special needs continues, Professor Dimov said.
More than 83,000 people were infected worldwide in the past 24 hours, with 5,215 dead, Dimov said.
