“The driver has been identified, he has also completed a declaration that he has personally driven the car and a record has been drawn up for the respective infraction,” explained Martin Tsurinski, head of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of the Interior.
The fine for such a violation is BGN 100 and the deprivation of eight checkpoints. Serious penalties await all other drivers who are detected by drivers. More than 200 cameras and all the teams of the traffic police are on their way during the holidays.
“They will be located on the main boulevards in big cities, as well as on highways, first-class roads and places where we know drivers are breaking the rules,” explained Nikolay Krusharski of the Traffic Police.
