There is a constant tendency to increase the number of cures. They are about 1,000 people a day, and in a week their number is almost 5,000 people throughout the country. As a percentage of bed occupancy with patients with coronavirus infection at the national level, the image is as follows: 40 percent of bed occupancy for uncomplicated cases and 23 percent of bed occupancy in intensive care units. This was stated in the periodic weekly briefing of the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov.

These figures, he noted, are dynamic because a system-wide reorganization process is underway to deal with coronavirus infection. Blagoevgrad, Gabrovo, Pernik, Razgrad, Targovishte and Shumen districts have the highest occupancy rate of hospital beds for the treatment of COVID-19.

According to the Health Minister, Bulgaria is in one of the middle places in the EU in terms of morbidity, yesterday in 16th place in 14 days.

“With respect to the deaths registered with Covid-19 to 11 (November – br) the 14-day mortality in the country is 9.86 per 100,000, which determines the 7th largest country in the EU. Mortality shows the level of organization of the health system and its ability to cope with this crisis. Bulgaria is ahead of Bulgaria in terms of mortality, Belgium, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland and Croatia. “Spain and France are at the height of our mortality,” Angelov said.

The Minister of Health announced that the coordinating center of the Sofia Hospital for Infectious Diseases was to be closed because he had fulfilled his role. During the last week, radio stations have been distributed in the emergency services of the capital hospitals that care for patients with coronavirus infection.

“Each hospital has its own frequency. When an ambulance goes to the hospital with a Covid-19 patient, this radio station establishes contact between the emergency department and the hospital,” explained Professor Kostadin Angelov.

According to him, the total number of medical personnel with a positive test for coronavirus is 3459 and the active cases are 1802, of which 1672 are in home treatment. There are 9 doctors in the intensive care unit. So far 22 specialist doctors have died, 17 of them doctors.

The philosophy of the measures is a restriction that would lead to a reduction of morbidity and effective control of the disease in the country. Because there is a certain amount of misunderstanding to explain about schools, where there is more than 15 percent morbidity of all students with Covid-19 symptoms presenting in an e-learning environment. This is the framework for the entire country. On the other hand, medical personnel in districts and municipalities have the opportunity to lead children to online education, that is, to take more serious measures. We have good coordination with the municipal and district headquarters and where there are areas where the control of the disease is in danger and is not so good, additional measures are needed.“said the Minister of Health.

An option is being considered to change the “green corridor” to buy for seniors depending on the spread of the disease. With the small settlements, where food products are delivered later, it will be solved even more.

Professor Angelov again asked people not to stock up on drugs and not to self-medicate, as this could have serious consequences for the whole of society.

In turn, the state chief health inspector Angel Kunchev He noted in comments on social media about possible treatments for Covid-19 that “neither hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir, nor convalescent plasma are specific drugs for the treatment of this disease.”

“They have their place when the doctor decides, especially for plasma, because not all patients can administer it, and not all patients can receive it,” said Associate Professor Kunchev.
