The chaos has reached its climax. Amid the rising third wave and rising deaths, mass vaccination against the coronavirus in Bulgaria has been stopped and there are no strict restrictive measures. The vaccination was reported to people in a confusing way and caused panic and confusion. It was unclear whether the decision was political or medical. It is not clear who is responsible and what measures will be taken to save the lives and health of people at risk after the main “weapon” (as defined by health authorities) against the pandemic, mass vaccination, was of use.
At the moment, the outlook is extremely worrying: infection is on the rise, hospitals are about to start returning patients, and everything is open, with no clubs or schools. “Mortality is like a plane crashing every day in Bulgaria,” Ivaylo Yordanov successfully wrote on Facebook. Every day a plane crashes, imagine it!
In this background power abdicates and everything depends on the will of the local government. The country is on autopilot as the prime minister deals with his campaign image. And most voters do not care and do not follow the measures. And as always, the salvation of the drowning is left to the drowning ones.
Another mess in the vaccination plan was preceded by a scandalous briefing by medical experts on Thursday, led by Health Minister Kostadin Angelov. Then some absurd things became clear:
1. The Executive Power refuses to take responsibility for the difficult health situation in the country. The prime minister, who otherwise does not stop flaunting his only power – totally unconstitutional – hid behind the headquarters of the coronavirus, which is an expert body, not a political one.
two. In order for Borissov not to tolerate the negatives of unpopular decisions that must be made just before the elections, the ball was moved to the regional level. Thus, in some places we witnessed schizophrenic measures. For example, in Blagoevgrad, the restrictions lasted from day to noon, imposed yesterday, today they were lifted after disgruntled protesters in front of the district administration. The same happened in Varna, canceling only the celebration in the theater of its centenary, which will be attended by President Rumen Radev. Pupils and students again fell as the only victims of the restrictions in the case of massive open establishments and shopping centers.
3. Doctors, standing in the embrasure to defend Borissov, explained that the responsibility for the difficult situation lies with the citizens. Against the backdrop of a drastic increase in coronavirus infections, severe cases and deaths in the past week and predictions that the third wave of the pandemic may outpace the tragic results of the fall of 2020, it is clear that for now the lockdown will not be possible. necessary. On the other hand, the doctors appeared with apparently prepared speeches and began directly with reproaches to the people, without a word of criticism from the Executive Power, to whom the taxpayers pay generously to exercise fair control and regulation.
For example, Health Minister Kostadin Angelov said that “medicine cannot fight for a patient who does not want to fight for himself” and that “this is the country we live in and the people we work with.” I mean, “that’s the stuff,” as the prime minister called it. Angelov further developed his idea with a complex judgment that the blockade will be necessary when people “believe in it” and “when society is ready.” Amazing wording that no one in other countries can afford except Zanzibar, which completely abolished the Conoravirus.
The minister tried to exempt himself from political responsibility by explaining that he spoke “like a doctor”, which is absurd given the high state position he holds. The lack of an information campaign on vaccines was played with the information that “there will be a video in a few days”, and as an argument for the delay of a year it was expressed: “To the people who play at the table, how to explain it? ? What more information to give? “In a normal democracy, these words would be accompanied by resignation by the obvious recognition of the inability to meet obligations in a difficult situation.
According to the Minister of Health, there is no control because it depended on personal responsibility. And he uttered another absurdity: “If there are 90 people at the table, should 90 policemen get them out of there?” The Chief State Health Inspector and staff member of the Coronavirus Association, Professor Angel Kunchev, put the “icing on the cake”, exclaiming about the lack of control over compliance with the measures and the non-imposition of more serious restrictions : “With the machines in the street and who appeared, to kill him ?!” For your information, in Germany there are police officers at every step to monitor the measures, and no, they do not fire with machine guns, but they put order.
Experts are clearly unaware of how democracy works: citizens elect their representatives to exercise power on their behalf and exercise control so that the “law of the jungle” is not applied. Instead, they are boldly proposing this law to tackle the pandemic. Such, by the way, is the Borissov government’s policy towards the economy, restrictive measures and vaccination. There is no concern anywhere, it is all a matter of “settling” in the mega chaos.
The representatives of the national headquarters created their biggest contradiction – acknowledged the difficult situation and at the same time denied the need for urgent restrictions. Why – Kunchev failed: The compromise was due to the economy. That is, after the government failed to offer adequate assistance to a number of industries, and the self-insured were completely eliminated as in need of support, after they asked employers to “sell their maybasas to pay wages” and offer doctors. ” to give up their salaries to have money for the sisters, “now they will commit to the cost of human lives.”
Those sent to the “embrasure” announced that they did not want to hear criticism because “the whole planet is like that.” But this is not the case, there are countries that will soon leave the crisis behind and there are many countries where people are not financially exhausted, like here.
It would be a lot of fun if it wasn’t a real nightmare and we didn’t get up witness how respected doctors expose themselves in a pathetic way in an attempt to defend the outrageously wrong actions of a government, who should have resigned long ago because of his incompetence and irresponsibility.
4. The Prime Minister, the Minister of Health and the experts screwed up the mass vaccination. In just 24 hours, after it became known that two cases of thrombosis were reported in Austria after the Astra Zeneca vaccine, one with a fatal outcome, their situation turned upside down. Yesterday the guarantees were that “the batch has not stopped, the vaccine is being made, there is no danger to life and human health.” Today, after the death in Bulgaria of a woman with heart disease and overweight, vaccinated with a completely different batch, preventive measures are imposed, which are expressed in the total cessation of vaccination and pending the “official decision of a committee of the European Medicines “. Agency “, and Borisov even says that he is waiting for an official letter to be sent to him personally.
And we are no longer talking about batches or patients with specific diseases. Everything stops and those vaccinated are left at the mercy of their own fears. And it does not matter that some countries have almost finished their vaccines and have no problems with thrombosis. Here we deceive the uninformed that just as it is in Bulgaria, so it was all over the planet.
5. On Wednesday, the government spread another lie: that everyone will be able to choose a vaccine. But they did not tell people that this would not happen now, but some other time. And again, the counter turned out to be that of the citizens: nobody had guaranteed or promised anything.
In this flattery between secrets and lies, total chaos and mistrust of everything related to this power and its messages about the coronavirus flourish. And there is no doubt that there is a simple explanation: Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who leads the last days of his term, is trying to please the electorate at the table. And they are known to want mild restrictive measures against the coronavirus, and many of them are against vaccines. Thus, the life and health of all became hostages of the electoral campaign of a party and its leader with the help of the lackey of selected doctors, all convinced that they are doing “better”.
Hail, Caesar, those of us who are about to die salute you.
