After the race, Danil Kwiat said he was angry at Grosjean for pushing them on the first lap. After the collision between them, the Frenchman’s Haas crashed into a railing, the car split in half and a large fire broke out. Grosjean managed to get out of the car and was taken to hospital after the initial inspection of the track. While at the track’s medical center, FIA President Jean Todt called his wife Marion and gave Romain his phone for his wife to listen to.

“At first I was angry because he caught me like this. What were you doing there?! Everything changed when I looked in my mirrors. I just hoped it was good. I didn’t like the sight in the mirror at all and I’m very happy that it’s good. What what happened is really a reminder that what we are doing is dangerous, “Kwiat explained.
The Russian was also involved in the other serious incident in which Lance Stroll’s Racing Point capsized. For him, the Alpha Tauri driver received a 10-second penalty and 2 penalty points. Danil did not agree with the point of view of the butlers.
“I don’t think I had a place to go. I was with my whole car on the inside of the curb. I knew where it was, but it turned like I was gone. So I’m a little disappointed with this decision. It ruined my career because my second outing was great.
Grosjean’s teammate Kevin Magnussen called the miracle
“It is a miracle to see how I survived. I am so happy that the halo is in the car, without it the result could have been different. I am happy that Romain is still with us,” said the Dane.
Charles Löckler saw the crash in his mirrors and then insisted on receiving information about Grosjean’s condition.
“I turned on the radio as soon as I saw what had happened. I was worried when I noticed the flames. And after seeing the accident, I could hardly believe that he got out of his car!”, Admitted the Ferrari driver.
George Russell (Williams) also pointed out the role of the halo.
“The way it came out of the rubble was amazing,” he added.
The accident will be fully investigated. F1 sports affairs manager Ross Brown said the fire and the impact barrier breach were factors of concern.
I’m so happy @RGrosjean it’s fine after today’s big accident. 🙏 https://t.co/mDnqvNWBU0
