CSKA owner Grisha Ganchev has announced that he and his partner Julian Indjov are leaving the club. His words come hours after the dissatisfaction expressed by one of the fan organizations regarding the planned sale of striker Ali Sow in Russia.

“I thank the entire military community for sympathizing with our work. For all their love for the team. I want to say on my behalf and on behalf of my partner Indzhov that we are ending our activities at CSKA. We wish the team success – title, cup Bulgaria and the Champions League cup, “Ganchev quoted Topsport as saying.

“We have no problem. We left a team with 10-12 million ahead of one that had more than 40 million debts. Now it is the turn of the fans,” quoted “24 Chasa”.

So far there is no information on the club’s official website.

On social media, fans parted ways over the topic of a possible breakup with Sow. The accusations are that CSKA will receive € 4 million for their Rostov striker, and will keep 15% of the Gambian’s next transfer.

“How long, instead of updating in the winter, will we sell and build again in the spring, when the real struggle is on all fronts in our country? Is the club’s policy deliberately of the ‘bit market’ type or just always Will it happen every winter and summer? are part of the questions that the fan organization “Offers” asks Ganchev.

“We will end by remembering once again that CSKA must be in the fight for all possible trophies from the first to the last round, and not an improvised position for the players,” added the fans.

Recently, CSKA sent young Valentin Antov to Bologna, and Yunus Sankare moved to Panathinaikos. At the same time, the Reds brought three players up front.

So far, nothing showed that Ganchev is ready to retire, especially in probably the team’s strongest season, which played in Europa League groups and reported significant UEFA income and transfers. Ganchev himself attended a friendly meeting a few days ago.

The businessman came to the Bulgarian Army in 2015 in the last season before the bankruptcy of PFC CSKA AD, when the team played in Group B. Then the team went down in history by winning the Bulgarian Cup.

Then, after complex legal moves, Ganchev and Indjov created the company “CSKA-Sofia”, and the team was admitted to the newly created First League. Amid great tension, the club acquired the assets of the bankrupt company for BGN 8 million, most of which was used to pay off debts to the state.

Ganchev has repeatedly expressed his desire to modernize the stadium and training base, for which the club has signed a contract with the Sports Ministry. Before the mayoral election, the process started hastily, but a joint venture with the state was maintained, which has not happened so far. The ministry should link it with the stadium and CSKA, with 23 million BGN. The CSKA owner’s claims were that the funds will come from the club and a Danish company.

In recent years, fans have often voiced dissatisfaction with Ganchev’s statement that Ludogorets is a safe champion with an “international title” and the others are just “playing.”
