More and more people are choosing to invest in property in towns. There are almost no plots available for construction around Plovdiv.
The interest in properties in the towns near the city is really huge. The brokers explain that before the prospect of being shut down periodically, clients now prefer it to be in a home with a spacious yard. Separately, rural properties are much more affordable than city ones. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most of the properties were bought in the municipality closest to Plovdiv – Maritsa, and the administration does not have empty municipal land. To meet the demand, the local administration will expand the borders of almost all its towns, BNT reports.
The situation with the shortage of plots is already noticed by brokers in other nearby places, not only in the municipality of Maritsa.
In Tsaratsovo, a completely new neighborhood with 20 houses has recently emerged. Ten more are under construction. The owners are mostly young families, originally from the town, to whom the municipality has given the right to build.
Brokers report that the growth of newcomers is also due to jobs created in companies in the region.
The new inhabitants of the municipality of Maritsa are more than 4000 and there are no vacant lots for sale. As a result, several more villages will be expanded.
Local authorities believe that this will reduce illegal construction. These changes in urbanization are expected to lead to other investments.
The industrial areas of the region are expanding by more than 500 decares.
