The state, with a plan ready for vaccination against the coronavirus. The government and health authorities have divided the country into seven districts and determined which groups will be vaccinated first. The experience of other countries, as well as the World Health Organization, was borrowed in preparing the plan.

The coronavirus vaccine will first be administered to doctors, nurses and paramedics. Dr. Stella Dancheva, who will be among those immunized, accepts the news with reservations. “Personally, there is no peace for me.” I don’t know how these vaccines will be made in a pandemic, because there is no guarantee that if you don’t have complaints today, you won’t get infected tomorrow and the vaccine will have no effect, “he said.

The first priority group for immunization also includes employees of the Ministry of the Interior. The next vaccines to arrive are the elderly. “They will be people over 70 years of age. In the EU, the practice is the same: it starts with these contingents,” explained Professor Krassimir Gigov, president of the national vaccination headquarters.

According to the initial immunization plan, which was presented to the prime minister today, the country will be divided into 7 regions. The goal is to create better logistics and organization of the process. “Responsible RHIs will be located, who are responsible for the entire region. We are discussing the creation of mobile teams where necessary, for example in nursing homes and schools,” said Professor Kostadin Angelov, Minister of Health.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov clarified that investment in coronavirus vaccines is large. “The contracts are signed by the European Commission and the guarantee of what they supply is provided by the European Medicines Agency,” he added.

According to epidemiologist Prof. Yordanka Stoilova, vaccines are the way out of the crisis. “Vaccines are the surest way to stop the epidemic. All vaccines are tested for safety and protection. This is the most proven product,” he said.

Two days after the official launch of the electronic reference system for PCR tests, it turned out that there was a serious technical problem. “I still cannot issue an electronic referral because we have a software problem. It affects not only me, but 80% of my colleagues,” said Dr. Gergana Nikolova, general practitioner and member of the BMA Board.

Currently, the issuance of a PCR referral depends on the software companies with which the GPs have a contract. According to Dr. Nikolova, it is a mistake that the antigen test is not an alternative to the PCR test.

Another problem is that a positive antigen test is no reason to quarantine the people with whom the infected person lives.
