The former employee of the United States National Security Agency, Edward Snowden, and his wife Lindsay Mills announced on the social network Twitter that they had a son. “Merry Christmas, Baby” is said in the post on Mills’ account, accompanied by a general photo of the family.
Earlier, Snowden’s attorney Anatoly Kucherena told TASS that Snowden’s son will acquire citizenship based on place of birth. Snowden himself ordered him to prepare documents requesting dual citizenship: the United States and Russia, but Russian law does not provide for that possibility. According to Kucherena, Snowden’s wife also intended to seek Russian citizenship.
In October 2014, Lindsay Mills, an acrobat and blogger from the United States, came to Moscow for Snowden. The couple officially married in 2017.
