Division Professor General Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchiiski received the title of “Doctor Honoris Causa” from VVMU “Nikola Vaptsarov”, BNT reported.

Gen. Mutafchiiski said he was proud of the honor. According to him, at the moment VVMU is one of the most innovative schools in the world, the most prestigious in Bulgaria.

“I am very grateful, proud that a few years ago we found a common language with VVMU and the Varna Medical University to do a project that will leave a deep mark on military medicine.

Already in 4th year we have some highly motivated young people who have embarked on the difficult task of studying 2 specialties at the same time and occupying the ranks of military officers. We have experienced more than 20 years of demilitarization. Now is the time to see worthy officers. “After every encounter with these young people, I see that this project is doomed to unconditional success,” General Mutafchiiski said.

According to him, this specialty is enjoying growing interest. He and his colleagues have a responsibility to be teachers of these children and expressed his satisfaction with the program, which is updated every year at MU-Varna.

“My responsibility with these young people is to make their wishes come true, to give them everything we have learned, to teach them to think, not to fall asleep where they have learned, to be artists. Military medicine is no longer in dispute, it is established with its scientific achievements, these are models that have proven their effectiveness.

You young colleagues are expected to develop further, think, do not fall asleep, attract other enthusiasts. This is the only way we can be successful. I always get excited when I stand in front of you, because I see your eyes bright and awake. The things in my bio are insignificant, compared to what we are building together with VVMU and MU-Varna. My heart is here between you! ”General Mutafchiiski said.

Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov commented that in the post at the Mutafchiiski Military Medical Academy he has solved financial problems, with his managerial qualities. For many years, the army needed military doctors who could take over the formations. What has been done in recent years … in the future, future generations will reap the rewards, said Karakachanov.

Earlier in Varna, he commented that the modernization of the Bulgarian army is scheduled and, for the first time in 20 years, 13 T-72 tanks have been factory repaired.
