Golf came back first in Europe

The decline in sales in March was catastrophic

For the first time in many years, VW Golf lost its first sales position in Europe: in February, it is now the leader again. This is evidenced in the JATO Dynamics statistics for the Old Continent market in March.

Due to a coronavirus infection that has hit me very hard in Europe, March sales have fallen sharply, with almost 50% more than in all manufacturers compared to March last year. Therefore, Golf returns to first place with a weaker result even in February.

Interestingly, the leader of the second month of the year – the new Renault Clio falls to fourth place. It is the French model that represents the largest reduction in car sales in the Top 10. And there is a car where the reduction is minimal, only 1.6%.
