An orange precipitation code has been announced for tomorrow in 5 districts of the country
Due to the heavy rain and snow in our country many entrances, ground floors, streets and garages were flooded. Spectators sent us photos and videos of the worst affected areas.
The rains of the last days create a danger of spills in the great rivers of our country, shows a reference in the hydrometeorological bulletin of the NIMH.
ATTENTION! Danger of floods in our country
In the next few hours there is the possibility of torrential flooding along the river basins of the Iskar, Yantra, Rusenski Lom and Suha Reka rivers. The risk of spills along the middle and lower reaches of the Maritsa, Tundzha and Arda rivers and their tributaries is higher.
Significant increases in the levels of the Struma and Mesta rivers are also expected in southwestern Bulgaria; torrential flooding is possible along its streams and tributaries.
Tomorrow in the districts of Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Yambol and Burgas an orange code for rainfall will come into force. They are expected to drop to 50 liters per square meter per day.
