Four patients with severe comorbidities were cured with COVID-19

Their age varies between 68 and 78 years.

Four patients with comorbidities and severe conditions were cured of COVID-19 and discharged, the Tokuda Hospital reported. The patients ranged in age from 68 to 78 years.

Two of them have kidney failure on chronic hemodialysis. They are admitted to the hospital with respiratory failure. One has heart failure and sepsis. It remains under dynamic observation and is discharged in a stable condition with a significant improvement in lung function. The other patient was discharged in very good general condition and without respiratory failure.

The result is also positive for a 68-year-old pancreatic cancer patient with active chemotherapy, also cured with COVID-19 without lung disorders. The fourth patient was admitted with partial renal and respiratory failure, in a state of delirium and after previous toxic poisoning. And it is recovering successfully and has been explained with considerable improvement.

Despite concomitant diseases and worsening of the condition, in all patients the infection passed and was discharged in good general condition after two negative PCR tests.

With these patients, the total number of patients treated with COVID-19 in the hospital was 7, and the number of those admitted so far was 14. Most have severe comorbidities, incl. patients with cancer in the advanced stage, patients with cardiovascular disease and kidney failure. One patient is currently on ventilation.
