The journalist gave details about the illegal arms trade

Shocking, scary, terrifying. This is how journalist Mia Santova described the terrorist attack in Vienna on Monday night. A man armed with a machine gun opened fire on her in the center of the city. Four people died and 20 were injured.

“They advised us not to leave the house. Vienna is bloody,” Mia Santova told NOVA.

He explained that, according to terrorism expert Thomas Riegrer, Austria could not be an “anointed island” forever. Monday’s attack was reminiscent of the 2016 Christmas market in Germany.

“In Austria, they were used to sporadic attacks with machetes or knives. But when someone opens fire, it opens a deep wound in people’s safety, “the journalist said.

According to her, there are several factors that lead to this attack. Among them is the fact that many people from Austria have voluntarily returned to their home countries to participate in jihad, but have since returned to Austria.

In addition, there were jihadists with close ties to Bosnia. The illegal arms trade was quite developed. “There are a lot of decorative weapons, that is, deactivated Kalashnikov rifles. Anyone with a little more skill can fix them quickly,” Mia Santova explained.
