The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) presented the first official data on voting in the country and abroad. All polling stations in our country are open. There was a problem in one of the sections abroad. There was some delay in the work process in some of the sections. In Veliko Tarnovo, voting with machines was suspended due to technical problems. 6,996 are all candidates for the vote.

There are numerous complaints to the CEC of unrest on social media. However, the commission recalls that Facebook and Instagram are not subject to control because they are not media providers.

In one section there was an interesting case: pens with black ink were delivered. As is well known, the rule is to vote blue. However, the CEC stressed that this was an isolated case and that the vote would be counted because voters had already voted in black before the problem was noticed.

The next CEC informational meeting will be at 2:30 pm

Today the long-awaited ordinary parliamentary elections are held. The vote will be more special because it takes place in a pandemic. Due to COVID-19, the members of the polling stations had to be vaccinated. Bulgarians in quarantine were also allowed to vote with mobile ballot boxes. There will be increased security measures throughout the country. The use of masks will be monitored. All participants in the electoral process will receive protective masks and disinfectants.
