A doctor will be the first Bulgarian to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, Dr. Radosveta Filipova, secretary of the National Vaccination Office, told BTV today. This will likely happen on December 27, as announced today by the national state health inspector, Prof. Angel Kunchev.
According to an EC decision, all member states will receive vaccines at the same time, in the period 27, 28 and 29 December. The vaccine is from Pfizer, from which 10,000 doses will come out, but they will be given to 5,000 people to guarantee the second vaccine, which should be administered about a month after the first.
Another 52,000 vaccinations are expected in January, followed by up to 300,000 a month. There will be vaccines for everyone, said Dr. Filipova.
Regarding the side effects, some of them described by the manufacturers themselves, Dr. Filipova explained that the expected reactions of the body, such as fatigue or headache, are brief and pass quickly.
