Ten villas caught fire in a large fire in the village of Otets Paisievo near Karlovo. The fire burned dozens of acres of deciduous forest.

The fire broke out around 10 o’clock yesterday and is still burning. The fire started on the northern slope of the village area, which is located in an oak forest. The flames quickly engulfed the first villages, which burned one after another. The fire managed to burn four buildings to the ground. There were no people in them at the time.
In the fight against the fire, 4 firefighters and volunteers from the village intervened, who put out the flames by hand. The fire went out until the afternoon, but during the night the strong wind lit it up again and this time with greater force the fire covered 6 more villages, which destroyed it completely.
According to the director of the Plovdiv fire, the fire was caused by burning stubble. The police are looking for the arsonist.
