All documentation on the site is now available, and conciliatory opinion has been received from NRIC, which had minor comments on the project, but they have already been removed.
Construction activities will be carried out in three stages, the first of which is the expansion of Modar Street.
“In the early days, the land to the west of the current street lane will have to be cleared to prepare for its widening. In the Moder project, it was designed with two lanes, 7.50 meters wide, with two lanes, with a dividing line, a strip in the middle and with 2.30 meter sidewalks on both sides, ”explained Plamen Raichev.
The second stage includes the reconstruction and extension of Tsarevets Street to the intersection with Hadji Dimitar Street, where local lanes will be built at the Kaspela University Hospital and Sofia Street. In the third stage, the progress will be made under the Plovdiv – Sofia railway line.
“We are leaving the advance in the last stage, as the walkway, which now makes the pedestrian connection between the South and West areas, will have to be demolished. However, it is right on the underground route and will not be preserved. It will be considered a temporary insurance about the possibility of pedestrians crossing while construction activities are underway, and then they will be able to use the sidewalks provided at the highway connection, “said Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov during today’s inspection.
The project has a total value of BGN 11.5 million, and the funds for the first stage amount to BGN 4.5 million and will be planned in the Plovdiv municipality budget for 2021.
