Finally, the deputies agreed to work overtime of up to 300 hours a year. Currently, the ceiling is 150 hours. Unsurprisingly, the issue provoked serious debate in plenary.

After two hours of controversy, lawmakers agreed that the employer could extend overtime to 300 hours a year. The opposition has once again criticized that the changes eliminate human rights. In defense of GERB, they explained that overtime will only be done with the consent of the workers themselves, who will know that this is how they earn their wages. It was also clarified – who knows the production in our country, and who only the deputy bank, but more about the dispute, I suggest we see now.

How long do we need for lunch?

“With this proposal, you are trying to demote those who are working. Have you thought that you will not be a deputy for the rest of your life and that you will go back to your jobs?” Said Georgi Gokov, BSP.

“It is an absolute lie that the rights of the Bulgarian workers are being taken away. For these 300 hours to happen, the workers must agree,” explained Hassan Ademov, MRF.

“It is an opportunity, not an increase to 300 hours at any cost. Read the texts in their entirety, do not interpret them to scare people,” said Svetlana Angelova, GERB.

“Have you been in production? I’ve been and I know what it is,” asked Violeta Jeleva, BSP.

“I am here as an engineer who worked in production. I know what this is about. It is this proposal that protects the rights of workers. The workers themselves want to have overtime, these overtime is paid. They themselves know that they have to earn money from this job, ”said Tsveta Karayancheva, GERB.
