41-year-old RK from Smolyan was found dead on a cliff near the town of Mugla.
The Opel Frontera jeep went off the road and crashed into a gully almost 40 meters deep into the gorge. The man went to town on Sunday to visit and called his friends to tell them he was leaving, but did not show up. In the morning they saw the jeep in the abyss.
“This morning a signal was given for a jeep that fell into the river 10 km from Mugla on 112. Preliminary proceedings have been started in the case,” said Police Director Senior Commissioner Nikolay Dimov.
“A deceased person has been identified. The place is currently being inspected, we are waiting for the forensic doctor and then actions will be taken to autopsy the deceased and evacuate the car from the abyss. Blood samples will be taken for drugs and alcohol and cause of death will be established.
The appointment of an automotive technical expert is forthcoming. Witnesses will also be questioned, “Deputy District Attorney Nedko Simov said, Maritsa reported.
The deceased is the father of two children and works in a Smolyan cable factory.
