“My personal opinion is that kindergartens should function well, but subject to all measures and the possibility that parents who want to leave their children at home. Other measures should remain in effect after December 14. The case is that there is a gradual decrease, but the number of hospitalized and intensive care in Sofia remains high. Sofia remains in the red zone “, commented Fandakova.
On Monday, 14 large outlet stores were inspected and 5 acts of infringement were drawn up. Fandakova warned that the inspections would continue.
Currently, 14 kindergartens are under construction in the capital, and construction of another will begin in “Vazrazhdane” by the end of the year. One of them is the new building in Vladaya for 3 groups, and for the first time there will be a nursery.
The Vitosha and Krasna Selo districts have the greatest shortage of places. The mayor of Vitosha is very active. Apart from Vladaya, a new building is under construction in Pavlovo and a new one is about to start. “A new school building is being built in Boyana. That is why I say that district mayors are extremely important in this process – if they are active and prepare projects, we will provide funds for the construction of kindergartens,” Fandakova emphasized.
The new building in Vladaya costs around BGN 2 million and will have a gym, utility rooms, playground areas in the courtyard and a warm connection to the old one. The heating will be pellets. It should be ready in February and another 75 children to be admitted in the spring.
“By 2021, we are committing BGN 70 million for the construction of kindergartens. This is possible thanks to financial support from the government,” Fandakova added.
