Any citizen found a fault in the tires of their car by molten bitumen in the Poduyane region, to obtain a protocol from an insurer, which we will present to the contracting company.
The company “DLV” Ltd., which performs the repair and current maintenance of the street network in “Poduyane”, will be fined 100% of the subscription fee for the area, as well as a fine for all damage. Not yet calculated.
This was explained by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova on Facebook after the asphalt mix spread on Dondukov Main Boulevard in the section between the Chavdar Bridge and Krakra Street yesterday.
The main streets in the area are gradually being closed for sand treatment and cleaning. The reason is the melting of the bitumen, which in the fall is deposited in the cracks in the asphalt pavement. This is a technology that has been applied in Sofia for years, in this way before winter, the pavement is sealed, which prevents water from entering and destroying the asphalt. The crack processing was done by DLV EOOD.
The most likely reason for the bitumen melting is the incorrect technology of its preparation, which has led to a reaction at slightly higher temperatures, explains Fandakova.
