Seismologists have recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale off the coast of Alaska, reports TASS, citing a statement from the United States Geological Survey.

The epicenter was 94 km southeast of the village of Sand Point, where about 1,000 people live. The outbreak is located at a depth of 41 km.

The US National Center issued a tsunami warning after the earthquake.
