54% of EVN Bulgaria’s domestic customers consumed up to 300 kilowatt hours of electricity in April 2020. This shows the analysis of consumption in southeast Bulgaria.
The average value of the invoices for all EVN Bulgaria domestic customers for April 2020 is BGN 70.07 with VAT at an average consumption of 352 kWh. In March 2020, the average bill was BGN 64.73 with VAT at an average consumption of 328 kWh by households.
These data are averaged and cannot be automatically attributed to an individual case, since each customer’s consumption is individual. All the above data does not include customers who have zero electricity consumption.
The main factors for electricity consumption in April 2020 for households are several:
The low temperatures of the season, with periods of cold and precipitation. It is significant that the 2019/2020 heating season in the country ended after April 25.
In a state of emergency, homes are at home.
Traditional increase in consumption during the Easter holidays.
It is important if customers use electricity for heating and hot water. In mountainous areas, where wood is traditionally used for heating, consumption and bills are lower compared to other settlements, where the most common form of heating is with electricity.
EVN Bulgaria recalls that several factors are important for electricity consumption and, therefore, for the size of the bills:
individual regime and intensity of consumption for each client / each household
if electricity is used on the property for heating
outdoor temperature: reducing the outdoor temperature by 1 ° C increases the energy consumption for heating by approximately 10%
number of rooms in the house that are heated, number of residents in the house
condition of the building / residential property: are there energy efficiency measures in the building / property?
type and number of household appliances used, their energy efficiency class, etc.
Each electricity bill issued by EVN Bulgaria contains the specific period during which electricity is reported, the amount of electricity consumed, the term of the next report, the term of the next payment, as well as a phone number to contact the company.
All the information in this message is sent by the EVN press center.
