The European Commission today announced the successful conclusion of negotiations for a trade agreement with Great Britain, BTA reported.
A durable solution to the fisheries problem is expected to be postponed for more than five years. Fishing was controversial until the last hours before the success of the deal was announced.

Barnier noted that in the four years of negotiations, the EU has stood together. He regretted that Britain was abandoning student exchanges and imposing restrictions on the movement of EU citizens.
The European Parliament stressed that it will not vote on the deal until early 2021.
