Instead of the expected slow dissolution of the measures, Greece will introduce a full quarantine by January 11. The strict prohibitions will take effect from 6:00 am tomorrow and all activities in the field of services, which took place at Christmas, will be terminated.

Churches remain closed to the faithful, and the traditional Epiphany will not take place on Epiphany (January 6).
The stricter measures were announced by government spokesman Stelios Pezas in an emergency briefing today, BNR reported. He explained that this was a personal decision by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to reduce morbidity before schools open on January 11.
The strict measures in Greece are from November. As of January 1, the total number of infected coronaviruses in the country is 139,447 and the victims of the disease are 4,881.
