Hristo Sharlopov, father of businessman Stefan Sharlopov, who died suddenly two years ago, lost the battle with Kovid-19, relatives said, quoted by “Flagman.”
Sharlopov Sr. died in a hospital in Sofia. The virus hit him literally in 3 days, from diagnosis to death.
Although he was 91 years old, he had a healthy spirit and led an active life to the end. He was even preparing to publish a new book, which he planned to present after the end of the pandemic.
Hristo Sharlopov was going to turn 92 on February 13. He is one of the famous names in Burgas journalism. He also had a doctorate in economics. Sharlopov Sr. also left an impressive testimony to generations. His books “The Spirit of the Earth”, “Our Fathers” and especially “Road Signs” will leave a lasting mark on the brilliant writer, poet and publicist Hristo Sharlopov.
His wife Eva Sharlopova, after whom the eldest daughter of businessman Stefan Sharlopov and heir to his empire is named, died in 2017. A year later, suddenly, in the prime of his life, Stefan Sharlopov left us.
