Daily data on the course of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic and a brief comment on them:

4213 samples analyzed during the day;

1002 new cases and 191029 is the total number of infected;

23.8% of positive samples;

105 housed in medical institutions, 6640 are hospitalized in total;

6 people are housed in intensive care units and 542 are intensive care units in total;

1404 were cured and 98026 was the total number cured;

55 died and 6551 was the total number of deaths;

During the last 24 hours, 48 new cases of 9 doctors, 19 nurses, 14 paramedics, 1 paramedic and 5 other members of the medical staff have been registered.

Sofia – 174, Burgas – 76, Varna – 126, Kyustendil – 16, Pleven – 22, Sliven – 47, Pazardzhik – 42, Yambol – 28, Lovech – 23, Dobrich – 39, Plovdiv – 89, Veliko Tarnovo – 36, Vidin – 13, Shumen – 3, Sofia region – 37, Blagoevgrad – 29, Targovishte – 9, Pernik – 29, Razgrad – 9, Haskovo – 27, Vratsa – 36, Ruse – 24, Kardzhali – 14, Stara Zagora – 23, Montana – 9, Gabrovo – 16, Silistra – 1, Smolyan – 5.

434.22 people is the morbidity of fourteen days per 100,000 inhabitants

26.21 people is the mortality rate of fourteen days per 100,000 inhabitants

Bulgaria again ranks first in terms of fourteen-day mortality in Europe and the world on the basis of 100,000 inhabitants according to the ECDC.

The samples processed during the last 24 hours are relatively small, but remain close to the usual on Saturday. Three weeks after the introduction of more stringent anti-epidemic measures, the percentage of positive samples dropped dramatically. However, it is much higher than the ECDC critical threshold of 4%. New cases are at their lowest level for Saturday since 10.17.2020. The previous Saturday 3,097 positive tests were reported, but with more than 8,500 tests. Inpatient and intensive care units increased again during the first day of rest, but weekly we will probably also see a decrease in these indicators. Those declared cured are more than new, but they are far from the record number in the last two weeks. The number of dead and established doctors has decreased compared to weekdays, but this is within the normal range for Saturdays and Sundays. Due to the specifics of the organization of work in medical institutions, not all samples are sent for processing and not all data is entered in a timely manner. In Sofia, there has been a significant decrease in new cases registered. In Varna, where it was announced during the week that the health system is in a critical situation, a large number of newly established people continue to report.

The first restrictions in late October were on nightclub activities, high school attendance in high school and students. At 12.11 the stage of basic secondary school also changed to online education, and on 27.11 the entire system of secondary education, kindergartens and kindergartens switched to DO, and restaurants and gyms suspended their activities.

All the daily data reported above, as well as the restrictions declared as the main preconditions to limit the spread of the infection, are followed by the conclusion that the measures work and their effect should be expanded. The “soft closure” has the necessary effect on the widespread penetration of the virus. Achieving lasting results requires continuous efforts in this direction.
