An acute allergic reaction occurred in a Boston doctor, who received the Coronavirus vaccine from the company Moderna, writes the New York Times, cited by BTA.

This is the first case of its kind involving the Moderna vaccine.

Federal authorities in the United States are investigating at least six cases of people who had a severe allergic reaction after being injected with the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, the publication recalls. The two vaccines contain similar ingredients.

The Moderna vaccine incident occurred last Thursday. A Boston Medical Center oncologist, who was generally allergic to marine mollusks, was vaccinated and almost immediately had an acute reaction, feeling dizzy and his heart racing.

The vaccination staff allowed the doctor to use the device with which an anti-allergy medicine is placed.

Later, the doctor was transferred to the emergency service, his condition was evaluated, he was put under observation and after a while he was discharged and he is fine.

Moderna has expressed willingness to carefully investigate the incident, but added that he is not ready to comment on a single case of allergic reaction.
