The world may be about to unravel the 75-year-old mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Amber Room, called the Eighth Wonder of the World.

The achievement of the Polish divers, who recently discovered the remains of the Nazi ship “Karlsruhe”, sunk in the Baltic Sea in April 1945 during the Soviet bombardment, gives hope in this regard, writes lupa.bg.

The well-preserved remains of the steamer are 88 meters deep, not far from the Polish city of Ustka, the 10-member Baltitech dive team said. It seems that after months of searching, we finally found the sunken “Karlsruhe”, he boasted on his Facebook profile Baltitech and we posted photos of the find.

The team notes that among the remains are military machines, porcelain and many intact chests with unknown contents. What it is about will become clear once the debris is removed from the seabed, for which Baltitech is still awaiting official permission.

The team hopes the chests will contain parts of the Amber Room, whose treasures are estimated by experts at $ 300 million.

Before finding the sunken Karlsruhe, Polish divers spent a year researching documents from the Allied forces in World War II, as well as German and Soviet archives, to which they had access. Thus they came to the conclusion that the steamer, which sailed from Köningsberg, where the tracks of the Amber Room are lost, has one of the most interesting and secret destinations and is very likely to hide the lost Russian treasure.
