MP Valentin Kasabov lost the battle with COVID-19. The parliamentary session began today with a minute of silence. Valentin Kasabov was vice president of the NFSB.

He was born on February 6, 1958 in Burgas, in the family of doctors. He graduated in Bulgarian Philology from the University of Veliko Tarnovo. He was elected councilor in Burgas from the list of the St. George’s Day movement in the period from 1999 to 2003, but left the movement and declared himself independent. In the local elections of 2007 he entered the municipality of Burgas, second on the Ataka party’s list. In November 2009, he left the party with ten other Ataka councilors.

In May 2011 he was one of the founders of the National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria party, of which he was elected co-chair.

In the 2011 local elections he was elected councilor of Burgas, from the list of the NFSB party. In 2014 and 2017 he was elected Member of Parliament, respectively, from the lists of the “Patriotic Front” and “United Patriots” of the 2 MIR-Varna.
