If you look at the number of new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, it increases slightly, but there is actually a decrease in the percentage of positive cases. According to official data from the Unified Information Portal, on November 6, the largest number of tests was carried out in the country so far: 13,849 (there is still no data on how many of them are the first for those surveyed). The positive samples are 3849. The proportion of infected to analyzed is a little more than 27% and for the first time in several days there is a fall in cases below 30% (see table).
However, the number of hospitalized patients continues to increase and there are already 3,563, or 139 more than the day before, as well as those in intensive care units – 257 (+7).
There is no change in the distribution by districts – most are the newly discovered virus carriers in Sofia – 1435, Plovdiv (382) and Blagoevgrad (237).
The total number of infected so far is 72,184, with 47,712 active.
The number of reported recoveries remains high – 727. However, as of October 13, those who have been quarantined are considered as such, without the need to prove it with a negative test. 23,436 have been recovered so far.
The death toll on the last day is 58 or 6 more than yesterday. Their total number since the beginning of the epidemic is 1576.
