A man died in front of a Varna polyclinic, and his body remained for hours in front of the stairs of the medical institution, covered with a sheet.

The case was announced by Nova Varna after a signal from a reader. The patient was left in a chair in front of the main entrance of DCC 4 in the city for more than an hour.

A media team went to the scene to verify the signal and the body was still in front of the hospital. The fourth DCC explained that the man had come with a referral from his personal physician for a urologist to examine him. At the reception they told him that there was no such specialist and he left.

Meanwhile, other patients noticed that the man’s condition was deteriorating, after which he passed away.

The polyclinic called 112 and Social Welfare. According to Nova Varna, upon arrival, the team said it was not dealing with the dead.

The author of the images also told Nova TV what he saw. Konstantin Parchev was examined by his personal physician and saw a man in “poor condition” sitting in a chair in front of the clinic. According to him, he obviously needed help. The place was extremely congested and there was obviously no free space. Later, Parchev passed once more and saw that the man was covered with a sheet. He returned to the place for the third time. According to him, the body remained in front of the DCC for approximately two hours.

DCC 4 declined to comment, but earlier today during the briefing, Health Minister Kostadin Angelov announced that he was aware of the case, that an inspection has been appointed and there will be sanctions.
