An extremely venomous snake was caught trying to mate with a garden hose on the property of an elderly Australian woman from Queensland, writes Newsweek.

The snake hunter suggests that it is the male Pseudonaja textileis, one of the deadliest snakes on the planet, who “must have been confused” when he suddenly found another smaller snake nearby.

A deadly snake, intending to mate with a female of its kind, mistook a garden hose for a female of its kind, trying to produce offspring.

The snake hunters were called to the scene and found that there was another reptile in the garden, darker in color than the lustful male. According to them, the suitor was obviously confused and “collided” with the nearby “laid” garden hose.

“When we arrived at the site in response to a signal from a large brown snake, our hunter Richie immediately noticed that a healthy male of the eastern pseudonym was attempting to mate with a garden hose. A closer inspection revealed that there was also a garden in the garden – another snake that the male apparently mistook for the hose, “Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers wrote on their Facebook page.
