A signal was received from an overturned car late on May 8 in the service room of the Second Regional Hospital in Plovdiv.
A regional administration patrol car arrived at Yanko Sakazov Street, near the intersection with Jean Jores Street, and discovered that a Hyundai Accent car was overturned to the left side and that the driver was not in the vehicle. Near the car was the 41-year-old owner, who was unable to explain the reasons for the accident.
The woman behaved inappropriately and smelled of alcohol.
Law enforcement officers performed an alcohol test on the spot, and the tech device reported 2.7 usage per thousand.
An AUA was drafted for violation of the Road Traffic Law and a medical examination coupon was issued. At St. George’s Hospital, the woman refused to give a blood sample. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
