Hundreds of protesters gathered in central Sofia on Friday night to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Borissov, the government and Attorney General Geshev.
The blockades of the three key crossroads of the capital remain: at Independence Square, near the Rectorate of the University of Sofia and at Orlov Most.
Chronology of the protest:
9:34 pm – The protesters arrived at Puente del Águila, where tonight there is an artistic event of musicians, poets and artists.
9:05 pm – The procession heads to Puente del Águila.
20:58 – We will be here every day as we achieve our victory. It will be soon, I promise you! Now or never, if they make decisions, we are doomed! – said Prof. Minekov from the “Poison Trio” in front of the crowd.
8:40 PM – I can’t understand – the government has been pretending for so long that they don’t know what we’re here for. We want resignations and elections. We are here because we don’t want to steal. You have been fired, ladies and gentlemen, incompetent – said Pepi Pisarski from “Atlas”.
20:37 – Today we won’t bother you much, it’s Friday night, get ready for September 2. Let everyone say to themselves: I’m not scared! On September 2, at 8 a.m., we will announce that we are not afraid. Let them go: now and forever – Nikolay Hadjigenov from the “Poison Trio” told the protesters.
